Almost done with work.....

Paul here again....well, it's my second-to-last day here at Honda R&D, very bittersweet for me.

I've been cleaning out my inbox (long overdue, feels good), getting all my files ready to pass on, and saying good-byes. I'll really miss this place - deciding to leave and go to Italy has been one of the toughest decisions of my life.

Things aren't perfect at Honda, no doubt, but then again no place is. Some of the policies here may be frustrating (then again I'm not exactly known for my patience) but overall it's a super cool group of people and I'll miss them a ton. I've been fortunate enough to go on some great rides and some very memorable business trips; thought I'd post the highlights here for everyone to see.

Here's my very first track day, at the California Superbike School. Yeah, body positioning was a little bit of a problem.

Matt and the classic, "all I need is U" shirt....can you believe Becki doesn't like it?

Tyler throwing down Blue Steel....or is it Ferrari?

Eddie and Jesse, a.k.a. The Twins. The only thing missing is some of those white boots, DUUUDE!

Dunshee REALLY loves that dog - carries it everywhere.

Nick on famous stunt rider Jason Britten's bike. Jason, if you are reading this, I will sell you his address real cheap.

Group rides were some of my best memories - especially the Fluffy Bunny Friendship Ride, 'cause I was on my dream bike the RC8:

Monterey was fun too. Cold and wet, but fun.

You don't even wanna know why I was doing dishes at someone else's house at 6 in the morning...

I even managed to get Emily to come along on the annual pilgrimage to the Laguna Seca GP.

Now she can say she's seen a living legend race, which I'm sure impresses her greatly :)

Trackdays were a blast, too....

...when I wasn't crashing, that is.

Lapping Willow Springs with Superbike racer Jason Pridmore was eye opening, to say the least:

I even got to do an endurance race on NSR50s. Little bikes but a lot of fun!

Work trips were interesting too. Usually they weren't to the most metropolitan of places.

But the people were always interesting!

Naturally, originally being from Texas, my specialty was interviewing good 'ol boys.

Had to test some product, too.

What can I say, we're a hard working bunch.

All in all I got to see a lot of cool and random things....

....and a lot of beautiful places.
Got to pee in them, too.

So for now at least, I bid farewell to Honda and all of my friends there. It's been a great ride.
